Eleven eleven eleven

CATAGORIES: GENERAL NONSENSE,WEEK IN REVIEW — FloridaBill @ 8:42 am

Happy Veteran’s Day. Thank you to all who have served. The day is also known as Armistice Day (Remembrance Day in the UK).

The Egytian pyramids are closed, just in case you were planning a visit.

Did you know the date requires interpretation?

Did I see a full moon this morning?

It is officially Nigel Tufnel Day! “Such a fine line between stupid and clever”.

Twice today it will be 11.11.11 11.11.11. Numerologists seem to be wetting themselves and sales of Depends are thru the roof.

There are many weddings planned for today. I wonder how many babies are planning on being born today. I would guess around eleven thousand or so?

It is apparently nerd new year. Go figure.

Coincidentally, there is a movie called 11-11-11. Guess when they are releasing it?

Enjoy the day and have great weekends. Roll Tide.

Breaking News: Cain’s Accuser is Hot!

Penn State Said to Be Planning Paterno’s Exit Amid Scandal

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Joe Paterno’s tenure as coach of the Penn State football team will soon be over, perhaps within days or weeks, in the wake of a sex-abuse scandal that has implicated university officials, according to two people briefed on conversations among the university’s top officials.

The board of trustees has yet to determine the precise timing of Paterno’s exit, but it is clear that the man who has more victories than any other coach at college football’s top level and who made Penn State a prestigious national brand will not survive to coach another season. Discussions about how to manage his departure have begun, according to the two people.

(Reuters) – French President Nicolas Sarkozy branded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “a liar” in a private conversation with U.S. President Barack Obama that was accidentally broadcast to journalists during last week’s G20 summit in Cannes.

“I cannot bear Netanyahu, he’s a liar,” Sarkozy told Obama, unaware that the microphones in their meeting room had been switched on, enabling reporters in a separate location to listen in to a simultaneous translation.

“You’re fed up with him, but I have to deal with him even more often than you,” Obama replied, according to the French interpreter.

The technical gaffe is likely to cause great embarrassment to all three leaders as they look to work together to intensify international pressure on Iran over its nuclear ambitions.

Nittany Lyin’

This is the end for Paterno. How and why they kept a lid on this thing for at least a decade is incomprehensible. Inside is an excerpt from the grand jury indictment of Sandusky. I must warn you it’s very disturbing… (more…)

The beginning of the End?

CATAGORIES: GENERAL NONSENSE — Sal Uki @ 1:40 pm

- Our straight talking Herman Cain was uncharacteristically evasive when pressed about sexual harassment charges.
- Listening to him last night, it was painfully obvious that he knows very little about foreign policy.
- He has a total of nine staffers working in Iowa.

It’s been a nice run, but it appears the consensus pick of Juggernuts is not ready for prime time.
