Week in Review

CATAGORIES: GENERAL NONSENSE — FloridaBill @ 8:36 am

File under Week 34 of 2008. (a shortened version this week due to the pulls and travails of modern life)

Phelps 8. Wow.

The Olympics have been pretty cool to watch. Congrats to all the medalists!

The cheerleaders are cool too:

Nominations of Fucktard of the Week:
Casey Weldon Till, is a waste of a human. His road rage, apparently fueled by some crack, went totally out of control.
“Not compatible with the welfare of society”, Mark David Chapman is back in the news. I hate that guy.
The suspected shooter in this case has a clear case of Fucktardary Maximus.
From Spazticus, comes this nomination: Beer Stealing Bus Stop Guy (BSBSG) .
As we all know, the folks at PETA are Fucktards. They want to buy SeaWorld and release Shamu, replacing the whale with a virtual one.

Spazticus also sent me this interesting diddy: Boobs on Bikes.

Florida is being hammerred by little old Tropical Storm Fay. The gators are even getting too wet.

How about those Cubs? Rich Harden is now officiallly a god. Carlos Zambrano is already deified in Chicago.

Enjoy your freedoms and happy healthy weekends to all.

Who Needs Expensive Fishing Tackle?

Barbie fishing rod reels in record-setting catfish

David Hayes holds the state record-breaking channel catfish while his granddaughter Alyssa, 3, holds the Barbie fishing rod that he used to reel in the fish. It weighed 21 pounds, 1 ounce, and was 32 inches long and 22 1/2 inches around.

VERY SIMPLE, VERY TRUE:

CATAGORIES: GENERAL NONSENSE,GREAT QUOTES — Yarbz @ 2:44 pm

“Remember, there is such a thing as good and evil.” – Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

From my e-mail: Lawyers suck

CATAGORIES: History — FloridaBill @ 12:34 pm

This is very interesting! I never thought about it this way. Perhaps this is why so many physicians are conservatives or republicans (Except Feste!).

Thoughtful point of view

The Democrat Party has become the Lawyers’ Party. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are lawyers. Bill Clinton and Michelle Obama are lawyers. John Edwards, the other former Democrat candidate for president, is a lawyer, and so is his wife, Elizabeth. Every Democrat nominee since 1984 went to law school (although Gore did not graduate). Every Democrat vice presidential nominee since 1976, except for Lloyd Bentsen, went to law school. Look at the Democrat Party in Congress: the Majority Leader in each house is a lawyer.

The Republican Party is different. President Bush and Vice President Cheney were not lawyers, but businessmen. The leaders of the Republican Revolution were not lawyers. Newt Gingrich was a history professor; Tom Delay was an exterminator; and, Dick Armey was an economist. House Minority Leader Boehner was a plastic manufacturer, not a lawyer. The former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist is a heart surgeon.

Executive Summary

CATAGORIES: 2008 presidential election,barack obama,john mccain — FloridaBill @ 9:51 pm

I know that some of you don’t like to read long drawn out missives…so here’s the executive summary of the candidates experience in both Congress and the Military:

John McCain has 26 Years in Congress and 22 years in the military.

Barrack H. Obama has about 143 DAYS in Congress (if he bothered to show up at all and most of that campaigning for the Presidency) and ZER0 time in the military.

Summary Concluded. Any questions?

Bigfoot Body Revealed to Be Halloween Costume

CATAGORIES: GENERAL NONSENSE — Spazticus @ 10:28 am

So it really was a rubber suit.

The excitement over a supposed Bigfoot body that built all last week, culminating Friday in a circus-like press conference in Palo Alto, Calif., collapsed like a wet soufflé over the weekend as an independent investigator found out it was all fake.

SearchingforBigfoot.com owner Tom Biscardi paid an “undisclosed sum” to Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer, the two Georgia men who say they found the body, for their frozen corpse and the privilege of trotting them out in front of TV cameras.
