From a website about Seville, Spain:
www.exploreseville.com/observations.htm

Agua De Sevilla
It runs through the river between el centro and Triana, but it also is a popular drink offered at a few bars here. Try this instead of sangria if you’re feeling bold. Don’t finish the night up with a pitcher of it, though, as it packs a punch. Served in jaras (pitcher) or media jaras (half-pitchers) be prepared to pay a hefty price - anywhere from 20-30€ for a pitcher. Here’s what’s in it:

zumo de piña (pineapple juice)
champagne
whisky
ron (rum)
Licor 43
Cointreau
nata (whipped cream: on top and then stirred in)
azucar moreno (brown sugar)
hielo (ice)

There will be no “Week in Review” this Friday. However, I could not resist submitting this strange dude as Fucktard of the Week. I guess he just couldn’t get a live deer to cooperate…

What’s the name of this team?

28 days in L.A. (Lower Alabama)

(part one)

Well, I’m back. I’ll tell you what happened.

The last four months pretty much sucked. September through December fused together into roughly 120 days of emotionless futility. I would wake up around 4:30 p.m. feeling exhausted and famished, dreading the next 12 hours. A second beer along with a couple of 10 mg Vicodin (not to mention A hit off of the pinch and a shot of R and R) would push those feelings at bay. And so on for the rest of the day. I would sit in my chair and watch TV until the 18 pack would run out and then on to bed, usually around 4:30 a.m. after Emeril would go off. The “routine” was more like slavery. I wasn’t looking for a job, I didn’t have the time. No time for “lovin’ “, I was too busy getting fucked up round the clock. Strange behavior for a former Substance Abuse Counselor. You see, I had been sober in Alcoholics Anonymous for 13 years before the relapse that culminated in the “slavery”. Also I had reached nearly 400 pounds, but that is another addiction… I never could seem to do things in moderation. When I work, I go all out. When I fuck things up, I do it up right and proper.

I was cruising blindly along on this path to nowhere when a bomb was dropped on me. A bomb of my own fabrication with “Dear John” stenciled on its nose cone. I was informed that an intervention had been planned. I reacted with anger and a staunch warning any activity of this nature would be met with ire. On December 27, my wife left me. I returned to A.A. on December 30, and haven’t had a drink of alcohol since. I did slip twice with the pain medication. I really like getting fucked up. A week after my reentry to A.A., the intervention did occur. Several people who I love and who love me came to my aid, each telling me of my importance to them. Two of the people there were old friends with whom I had worked with in the treatment field. They convinced me that the best course for me would be treatment at an inpatient facility. I agreed to go to inpatient treatment at The Haven in Dothan, AL.
