Thank GOD It Is ALMOST Over!!!!
After what has been just about the most disgusting, gossip filled, fuck the issues, LONGEST election season in my memory, we are almost there!!!! Woohooo. I am left feeling disgusted, cheap, and used as a 2 dollar whore on Bourbon street during Mardis Gras. I will go today and cast my Vote for the Barr ticket and basically make the statement that, “I have cast my vote for a candidate with NO chance to win in the hopes that SOMEONE will notice that there is a vote out here for the taking if either major party would provide a candidate that didn’t make me feel like I was voting for the lesser of 2 evils instead of someone I actually believe in.” And I think…”WHY is it that way?”
Radley Balko of www.theagitator.com explains howthe 2 basically indistinguishable parties have made it that way: www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,446152,00.html
It seems the ONLY thing that the 2 major parties can really agree on is that they must keep ANY other parties or candidates out of the process.
Anyway…thanks for the chance to rant…I will get off my soapbox now and go cast my meaningless protest vote…but at least I’ll be able to look at myself in the mirror.
Voting Observations
In line at 5:45 a.m. in a part of town that was once the District of Columbia, 50 degrees with dim overcast. The A-M line is at least 300 strong. Fortunately, the N-Z line is about 150. Once inside, lots of standing in a non-ventilated hallway. At least there is some non-political conversation. People are pleasantly surprised by the turnout. About 6:40 a.m., we’re segmented further: A-C, D-H, etc. No picture ID required (I expect this leads to fraud and should be changed). We vote in a small free standing booth on what looks like a palm pilot for a 3 yr. old. There are 10 of them (not enough). You select options by rotating a dial, hitting an enter key to fix the vote. When all done, hit the red button and wait for the waving flag (Mr. Rogers would be proud of me). 6:48 a.m., on the way out, the line is now triple. God bless America.

For those who like tattoos…these are unreal
damncoolpics.blogspot.com/2008/10/3d-tattoos.html
Though they are cool, I’m not sure that I would want some of these on my body forever and ever amen. Like Yarbz…I did my time in the USMC and saw MANY different tattoos. I have one myself though it’s pretty generic and I was drunk and I wouldn’t have it now if I knew then what I know now…….
One of the strangest/funniest/wouldn’t put that on my body for a million dollars tattoo I saw was a marine at Camp Pendleton who had one from his back to his chest. I had a pic…lost it but I’ll describe (I’ll never do it justice). The art work was 1st class. Very detailed and shaded done in basic green/black. Starting at his belly was a chain running up his chest and over his shoulder. 3 marines in combat gear where holding on to the chain and leaning forward as if pulling on the chain. The chain went down his back to the crack of his ass from which 3 sailors where being pulled out of.
