With friends like this, who needs enemies?

CATAGORIES: GENERAL NONSENSE — Sal Uki @ 1:52 pm

Okay, Obama is supposedly this thuper cool champion of the middle class. So after two years of a democratic congress to work with him, what has it gotten us? You guessed it…

Over 2.5 million more people fell into poverty last year, according to the Census Bureau. There are 46.2 million Americans living below the poverty line — the highest the agency has seen since it began following the figures…….the new poor are the former middle class.

Sal, I have to be honest with you, my friend. I have not paid my internet and they have locked me down so I can’t browse. I can’t follow your links, Google or anything. I am going to lose this site before long. I have to juggle my bills and fun here fell to the bottom of the cup. I will be back on in a few weeks.

Gads, I hope it is before election day!!

    Good luck with that cj.

  3. FloridaBill says:

    BTW, poverty SUCKS!

Is there anything more dangerous to America? Crazed Islamists? They are motivated by fear and POVERTY. Drug Cartels? Poverty. Gang warfare in Chicago every weekend? Poverty again. Government entitlements? Do I need to go on?

Romney has never known poverty. Obama seems to want to share his experiences with it.

And Romney doesn’t want to share his experiences with banks that don’t tax his wealth. What a shame. Actually now I remember asking at work about these food stamp recipients getting cell phones. The boss said the phones can’t be used to call out on..there is a security number the recipients put on their applications so the businesses can call them. Hope you all feel better now knowing unemployed and looking for work people are not going to get free minutes. The majority of the people who get food stamps want to work. All are required to comply with Workforce Development or lose their stamps. That means job search and retraining for jobs that exist in the area.

    Poverty does suck.

Too bad Romney can’t relate like Obama can. Is it a problem that we have a president who was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth? Street smarts and education make a better man. Hiding money from Uncle Sam, having an expensive horse that competed in the Olymics, and kissing Trumps behind just does not appeal to me at all.

Sal, this is from John Alexander Parker, who commented on the link you posted. The majority appear to lean toward my view.

“It IS very sad. I live in the DC area….it’s off the charts in DC. The politicians MUST drive to work blindfolded.
The disconnect over helping people in need (entitlement programs) is unreal yet at the same time kind of easy to understand.
I understand the disconnect because if somebody can afford to spend (just throwing out a number to illustrate) $300.00 a month on groceries they probably think somebody on foodstamps is receiving $300.00 a month to spend on groceries.
If they pay $1,300.00 a month for rent they probably think people getting help with housing are living in a $1,300.00 apartment like they do.
If the disconnect would end even the most ardent ‘anti-government assistance’ views would soften (I can only hope). But as the article points out nobody wants to hear about poverty and people in need.”

I don’t have a problem with helping people in need. I have a problem with helping people in need and not paying for it.

  7. FloridaBill says:

Helping those who need help is a good thing. Helping those who take advantage of the system so they don’t have to help themselves is entirely different. Paying tax dollars that we don’t have (read $16 TRILLION deficit) to help people who don’t want to help themselves is foolishness, wasteful and stoopid.

Having a President who is ignorant to the needs of the country’s future, who is a hypocrite about legalizing pot and would rather be on Letterman than take a meeting with Netenyahu (spelling?) is what bothers me (among other issues). Talk about shameful…

Let’s see what he does about today’s bombing of our embassey and the murder of our ambassador in Libya. Our soveriegn soil has been attacked. Let’s see if he sides with the Islamists or takes action.

  8. FloridaBill says:

Yesterday, in Yemen, another American ambassador was murdered by violent Islamist extremists. I am still wating to see what we do for the horrific murders of Americans (including the AMBASSADOR ON AMERICAN SOIL) in Libya mentioned above. That was almost exactly 30 days ago. We’ve done nothing. Is that siding with the bad guys? Anyopne want to bet to see if we take any action for what happended in Yemen?

Perhaps we could send a drone.
