Congrats on the lap top happy belated father’s day to all you mothers out there.
Went to a Chicago dog house in Cullman and they had this salsa that I liked. Hot Italian Giardiniera, put it on pizza and tamales it was wonderful. The man said children are raised on this stuff in Chicago. What do you know about it and have you made any before. Have seen recipes on internet, looking for the best. Oh, hope the new job is going well. Roll Tide !
Giardiniera is great stuff. It is made from jalepeno peppers, vegies and oil & vinegar. The really good stuff has carrots, califlower, celery, onions and red pepper (both the flakes and the bell pepper). It has to marinate or soak overnight in brine and then once all put together, in the frig for another couple of days in the vinegar and olive oil. It is GREAT on beef sandwiches. Sal Uki knows good giardiniera, but I have never made any. You can get it at Portillos, a local hot dog and beef sandwich place.
The new job is great. I love it. The work is challenging and the people are great. I am not wild about the commute, but it goes with the job…
