Week in Review
It has been an awesome week for me. My new job is really good and challenging. I love it and work with some really great folks.
The Blackhawks here in Chicago are two wins from the Stanley Cup. Go Hawks.
I found this article about two well known libertarians at odds to be interesting. Rush vs. Rand. Who’d a thunk it? At least not in the way you might have thunk.
Friday is the 40th anniversary of the birth of Spazticus. We will celebrate. He shares a birthday with Angelina Jolie and Dr. Ruth.

BP. Nuf said.Bud Selig is a Fucktard for not overturning the piss-poor call that robbed Armando Galarraga of a perfect game. That makes no sense to me at all. He could just waive his hand and fix a very bad mistake; why not do it?
Joran VanderSloot is a murdering Fucktard. They are gonna fry him in Peru and God forbid he ever shows his face in Mountain Brook, AL.

Overturning the call is a dangerous precedent. They can amend the replay rule but you can’t just ‘undo’ judgement calls. Where would it end?
Vanderslime better hope he gets fried. You do not want life in a Peruvian prison after killing the daughter of a prominent businessman/racecar driver. This is what awaits him…

Good point, but everyone recognizes the guy blew it and Selig could make it right. I would say that is where it ends, but of course that wouldn’t be right. They really should introduce replays on disputed calls, just not balls and strikes…

As for the oil spill, we have punched a hole in the Earth and we can’t make it stop… This is a “B” science fiction plot come to life. I know how to fix it but nobody asked me. Chop off the metal and get to the actual drill hole, insert a giant carbon steel “bee-stinger” which will go in nicely because the oil can continue passing by it and then once it stops going down the oil will push it back and the spikes will dig into the walls of the drill hole and stop the oil. Fill in behind the stinger and it’s done.
I side with Bud on the non-overturning of the bad call. If ever there was a can of worms that would be opened by an action, this would be it. Every bad cal now, in the past and in the future would have people screaming for overturning. We just can’t go there.
As for Sloot-boy, he is gonna be known as Vandersloot with the over-used poop-shoot once he gets where he’s going. I hope he suffers… And for those who aided his crime by hiding/obscuring evidence back on Aruba, they ought to go to prison too…
