Week in Review

March came in like a baby lamb on Monday after the conclusion of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. There were some great moments.
February and March have also proven to be difficult times for me as a parent. I won’t share the details here (and if you know them, please don’t comment on them in this forum). Suffice it to say that teenagers can be very tough on their parents. Nuf said.
I have been suffering from a bout with pneumonia for the last two weeks. It has taken a toll as I have been forced to catch up a little with The View and Oprah (not really). My work has suffered and I am weeks behind and may never get caught up. That will not stop me for gearing up for JuggFest on 3-19 which happen to correspond to the 50th annivesary of the birth of Yarbz. Two weeks and counting.
On Wednesday, I caught a few minutes of the Tyra Banks Show. Why this woman has her own TV show/podium/soapbox is beyond me, but I digress. They had two girls on who were models and promoting something they called BIO. It stands for Beauty Inside and Out. The two teen models had both prepared videos for the show. The first featured a young Caucasian woman who took off her jewelry and her make up during her video and said that people from her “generation” would be making consumer decisions based on how women were featured in advertising. Those products whose adverts used women as objects would be ignored and boycotted. The second video was made by a young African American woman whose message was basically the same, but she had a real attention grabber at the beginning of her video that started by her saying the words “bitch” “ho” and “slut”. She asked if the music industry was listening because any commercial enterprise that featured women degrading themselves and “bouncing around while dollar bills were being thrown at them” was destined for failure due to the new BIO efforts. I report this only because of the delicious irony that immediately followed when the show went to a commercial after Ms. Banks had gushed all over these two and lavished them with praise for “the cause”. Note this was coming from one of the world’s most famous supermodels. The commercial that immediately followed had a beautiful women coming out of a pool while adjusting the front of the bottom portion of her very skimpy bikini. God, I love truth on TV. I wanted to throw dollars at it. Hypocrites piss me off. And let’s not forget that Ms. Banks also has another show that compares the assets of various women who want to be America’s Next Top Model, a show I find to be cruel and humilitating to the contestants (but I have only seen a few moments of it). Is she trying to look stupid or just trying to make herself feel better that she is part of the problem (if in fact there is a problem, cause I ain’t real sure).

Here is a little tidbit for Yarbz: Cuse #1 for first time in 20 years. I still think Kansas will be the team to beat in the tournament that begins soon.
Is gun ownership a fundamental right in America? I certainly think it is and so did the founding fathers.

I didn’t watch much of the Olympics but did see the race where the coach for the speed skater from the Netherlands sent his would be Gold Medal Winner into the wrong lane and he was disqualified… He was pissed and I think that will haunt him for his entire life. I really felt bad for him. Imagine training your entire life for one thing, having it for all intents and purposes and then finding out that you lost it due to a slight mistake…
Sorry to hear that your parenting skills are being put to the test. I shall contact you regarding same. Just be assured that worse (and I don’t even know what it is) has happened to many many parents. Nonetheless, it must be difficult and I hope for quick positive resolution.
Pneumonia! Holy crappola! You must be running yourself down. Doc Yarbz prescribes rest, rest and lots of fluids, none of which are amber or alcohol infused, followed by more rest.
Sorry to hear that you’re going to be so far behind. You must count on your co0-workers to step up and help. I know you’ve done the same for countless co-workers in the past…
When you arrive on the 19th (Yarbz 50th Birthday) we’ll likely take it easy. The 20th, Saturday, we’re gonna watch NCAA tourney action, crank vinyl and drink beer from the wall tap. I know we’ll be joined by a number of folks in that endeavor.
Tyre Banks was never one of my favorites. I don’t even know how she was considered one of the supermodels… Anyway, women have always been exploited in the ways described and many enjoy the exploitation. Many do not. Many take advantage of it and many don’t. I guess it comes down to who is doing the exploiting and for what purpose.
Hope that the two babies tortured by the hopefully soon to be dead Jeremiah Scott are too young to remember the incident. I hope they can grow and be immune to it.
Maybe Roy AssBurn was just studying aspects of gay life so he could become a little less ignorant…or maybe he is the classic gay guy hiding his gayness through bashing gays…

SU was #1 but then lost to Louisville in the last game of the regular season… I hope it was just a let down… Of course, I am of the opinion that being number one hurts your chances in the tourney as the target on your back is such motivation for every team you play.
Let’s hope that the Supreme’s rule correctly. Otherwise, the founders will rise from their graves like a Michael Jackson video and start eating the flesh of activist pussy wussie judges all over the country. What a great thing that would be, but I still hope that they rule that guns are not only a right, but a responsibility, in today’s massive and growing governmental environment. We may have to fight the feds yet…

Parenting is tough even when they become 25 year old. We have been painting the entire interior of our house and left my daughter’s bedroom for last. She had put stars and moons that glow in the dark all over her walls, used some kind of glow in the dark material to write KORN and FTW and witch symbols on the walls, and on the ceiling to our amazement we found a burn spot in the drywall above where her bed was located. I asked my daughter, a Magna Cum Laude college graduate about the burn spot. It occurred while she was trying to kill a mosquito with a candle!! WTF!!! Needless to say, we had to scrap the drywall off the glow in the dark spots and redo all those areas. It is still not painted, because I’ve found more writing that we could not see before.
I hope you are fully recovered by the 19th. As usual, I will not be coming to Connecticut this year either. You guys have a great time. FB have a safe trip and do as Yarbz says, get plenty of rest and drink fluids that are not alcohol related.

Because FB is being so unwilling to come forth, here is the issue:
There is a previoulsy unknown child (name: Lars P. Ness) that bill fathered when he was 5 (Yes, he has always been a man’s man…)
This child, now man, is seeking to have FB pay for his sex change, scratch that, species change, from man to half horse, half iguana. Once Lars becomes the HorsGuana, FB will be required to feed him hay and small insects 25 times daily.
FB is fighting this of course. Please support him as a 5 year old should not be held liable for his actions… even if he does have powerful seed.

Yea, I tried to tell that to the jagoff who had my foot up his ass yesterday after he pulled out in front of me going two miles an hour in a fifty MPH zone. He claimed his car didn’t accelerate well when it was cold. I told him he should park it and not be such a pussy. He didn’t laugh though and rolled his windows up as I was telling him not to make me get out of the car…
