This is the view from the third floor of the Hartford civic Center which was, at the time, the Aetna Connecticut Claim Service Center. Aetna, in the form of a P&C insurer, no longer exists… Many of the people I work with now at SCIC worked there. Today, at 1600 hours, there is a reunion of Aetna (Bunch-O-Desks Insurance Company) at Margarita’s in East Hartford. It will be fun to see some of them again! I remember this storm. Many of us went downstairs to the old Margarita’s that was in the Civic Center and imbibed until the traffic died down. After that I went home to my Middletown apartment where Spouse 1.0 gave me a lot of grief that was unnecessary and undeserved… It wasn’t long before she bolted and my life became much better.
