Uncle Ted always rocks. Remember the time Bon Jovi was to open for him at Boutwell, Promoter said i got good news and bad news. the bad news is Bon Jovi wont make it, crowd cheered. the good news is Teds coming out and play longer, place goes bizerk. Could care less about REO Shitwagon. The worst concert, ever. I will be at lake Martin with family, wish i could make it. Yall have a good forth and don’t go shooting bottle rockets in your buddy’s fireworks stash.

I remember that concert at Boutwell. I was among those cheering the loudest. I wouldn’t go see REO if you paid me, but Ted still has some appeal for me. Sorry you can’t make it. I LOVE going to concerts with you (although it has been a very long while). Enjoy Lake Martin and catch some big ones.

Remembering any concert fact from that era should earn us all a star. I take back the comment about REO, lucky for them and me Cheap Trick opened.

Yea, that was real fun when FB shot the bottle rocket in my bag ‘o fireworks. I had a better time when we went to Lake Purdy and had the bottle rocket war. I’m heading up to Smith Lake this weekend also. But, Weirdsin and I are very fired up that Zappa Plays Zappa is coming to Birmingham on July 24th. My wife is going with me this time. Also Ttrogg, Ginger and her son Chase too. Ted still does rock, and I like his new album “Love Grenade”.

I like the song on his web site ” I am the NRA”. Been checking out Ted giving dudes who want autographs(to resale) hell on youtube. some very cool stuff. Really wish i was going. i could use some high octane Ted right now.

I may bow out of the Ted show. They are, for the first time, advertising RibFest locally. In the past, they wanted to keep it a “Naperville thing” and didn’t want to bring huge crowds. Now, they have CBS2 broadcasting from the site and playing Nuge tunes on the morning news broadcast. They have always had a large turnout to this event and now have to say that that may close the gate due to overselling tickets if it becomes a safety issue (see link above). The place was jam packed last year for George Thorogood and I don’t know if I want to battle the crowds.

However, I could use some high octane Ted myself, so I may still go…

I now have that “I am the NRA” song stuck in me gulliver. Thanks WeirdSin.

  9. WeirdSin says:

It is quite catchy, i’m fixing to buy it. Just be thankful its not REO.

  10. FloridaBill says:

I did see them (REO) on ESPN last weekend doing “Take me out to the Ballgame” and nearly vomited. That is a truth I hold to be self-evident.

  11. WeirdSin says:

Bill i bought the NRA mp3 and can send it email. Home or office? Also, got the Dvd Rocking in Sweden to cure my fever.

  12. Sal Uki says:

I was there in the third row. Where were you???

  13. FloridaBill says:

Sal: I just got your messages this morning when I turned on the phone. Sorry. My Bad. I went home Thursday and started the weekend too early. I was probably asleep by the time Ted took the stage, then stayed busy with staining my deck all weekend. I hope Uncle Ted gave a good show…again, sorry I missed your calls…
