    I loathe Stevie Nicks.

  2. FloridaBill says:

I’d like to give her a duet with my…oh never mind.

  3. WeirdSin says:

Yep, thats the song. On a Stevie Nicks kick. The first album, Buckingham/Nicks is one of my fav’s, got it on mp3 player as well. She had duets with everybody but Willie.

  4. Trench says:

You mean when the lights go down in this California town people are in for the evening song?

  5. WeirdSin says:

John Stewart has a song with Stevie Nicks called “Turning music into Gold”. a one hit wonder from late 70′s. its been on my mp3 player past few seeks. it rocks.

  6. goober says:

Thanks for all the good thoughts! : ) Hubby is home and resting somewhat comfortably. He is totally numb on the left side. He had a really good sized rip in his bicep which they fixed. They also removed the spur and fixed the tendon. Apparantly this is a very painful surgery – as they have put in a block for pain, plus a pain pump that I have to take out in 48 hours and on top of that he is to take Aleve and pain meds – so he should be in lala land for a few days.

I’m sorry about the Packers Zappa. I was really hoping they’d win. I did watch (as you know I love football) and I cheered for them to win. I sure felt sorry for all of them having to play in that cold weather. I hope none of them get sick.

It’s time to take the ice machine (which is pretty cool by the way) off my better half and his appetite is coming back so I need to get him something to eat.

    Have a great night all!

  7. Yarbz says:

Of course, they could be brats. They probably are and would need spanking.

  8. ZappaCrappa says:

I would rather have the Hooters girls bringing me beer. Speaking of which…the one here in Mckinney is LOADED with extreme double D barrels. Great place to …..eat?

  9. Yarbz says:

I would like to have a bunch of brats bring me beer though.

  10. FloridaBill says:

If you know what you are doing with brats, you boil them in beer, then grill them. So, in a way, yes; they bring you beer when you eat them.

  11. Yarbz says:

But do they bring you beer?

  12. ZappaCrappa says:

A bratwurst (pronounced: [?bra?tv??st] (help·info)) is a sausage composed of pork, beef, and sometimes veal. The name is German, derived from Old High German brätwurst, from brät- which is fine chopped meat and -wurst, sausage. Though the brat in bratwurst describes the way the sausages are made, it is often misconstrued to be derived from the German verb “braten”, which means to pan fry or roast. Etymology aside, frying and roasting are far from the most common methods of preparation. Bratwurst is usually grilled and sometimes cooked in broth or beer.

    :P

  13. Trench says:

I’m hoping the stadium collapses at kickoff.

  14. Yarbz says:

They call themselves “Giants” because they are “compensating” for their lack thereof… Everyone knows that… Before they named themselves Giants, the owner thought about calling them the “Girlfriends Need Tweezersers…”

  15. FloridaBill says:

Yarbz: How do you know about number 4 above? The name of the team is the “Giants” not the “wee-tiny peckers”…

  16. Trench says:

Are these kids that fetch beers for their parents?

That’s how my dad invented the remote control.

    *smack* Go change the channel.

  17. Yarbz says:

a huge batch of beer brats

Are these kids that fetch beers for their parents?

  18. ZappaCrappa says:

Brett looked pretty miserable last night…I think the cold + his age = retirement. I had a house full of Packer faithful last night. You could have heard a pin drop after the kick.

Despite the loss…we did some serious damage to some beer and a huge batch of beer brats.

  19. Yarbz says:

While an upset is not impossible, I don’t see the Giants beating the Pats. The Pats have the edge in:

    1) Quarterback
    2) Coaching
    3) Experience in big games
    4) Penis size
    5) Number of stroke victims who are starters
    6) Sideburns in team logo
    7) Being the farthest from NYC! (A major plus)

  20. FloridaBill says:

Good thoughts. Good thoughts. Good thoughts. < all being sent goober’s way.

RIP Fav-re’s career. Hasta la vista Chargers. We have a rematch in the SB of a game played just 22 days ago. Perhaps the outcome will be different this time?

  21. Yarbz says:

And RIP to Farve’s career. I think he will retire now…

  22. Yarbz says:

RIP Suzanne. She was a cutie in her day. I liked her. RIP also to the San Diego Chargers who died on a visit to New England.

Good thoughts to goobers hubby. Rest Well and Prosper.

  23. Trench says:

Thoughts going out to the other half goober.

  24. ZappaCrappa says:

    Thoughts are with you Goober.

  25. FloridaBill says:

RIP to the Butcher and the folk musician as well as Georgia Fronteire, the owner of the St. Louis Rams who drowned her husband to get control of the team and then moved them from LA to St. Louis.

  26. FloridaBill says:

Sending positive thoughts your way now goober. Best of all to your other (perhaps better) half.

  27. goober says:

That makes our “3″ this week. Sam (Allan Melvin) the butcher died thursday and John Stewart, folk musician and writer of Daydream Believer, died saturday.

    RIP, Suzanne, Allan and John!

Off topic here: Please keep my other half – I should say better half – in your thoughts this morning as he is scheduled for surgery in a couple of hours. He has never had to go thru anything like this before. Other than having stitches twice in his 41 years of life, a few colds and the flu once, this is a big thing for him. Especially since his mom died the day after surgery back in July. However she died of a massive heart attack which I have explained would have happened that day at that time no matter where she would have been. He’s very nervous and anxious which I can understand. He has messed up his rotator cuff (a spur is halfway thru his tendon) and he has managed to have a 50% rip in his bicep. They have treated him for a pulled muscle for almost a year and finally decided to do an MRI. It’s no wonder he’s been in so much pain! I know he will be fine. Just the more positive thoughts thrown his way the better off we will all be. We should be home by around 5:00 today.

  28. FloridaBill says:

Maybe all of creation is since God is waking up next to her now.

  29. Trench says:

Are you sure this wasn’t just a dream?
