Ike Turner, one of the original bad boys of Rock and Roll, died yesterday. Arguably, he was one of the founders of rock and roll with his song, Rocket 88 in 1951.

I saw Ike & Tina in concert, Germany, 1972 I think. Wolfman Jack, Lou Reed, Ozark Mountain Daredevils there as well.
Did Tina look battered? What about Lou Reed?
Now he’s up there takin’ a beating from Jesus (or maybe down ther takin’ a beating from the devil)…

Was not close enough to even see much. Concert was at a soccer field.
Ike doesn’t deserve to rest in peace. I want him to burn and feel the pain.

The NY Post had the best headline for Ike’s passing. It read:
Ike “Beats” Tina to Death
I wish like hell that I had thought of that.
