Actually, I could not resist and bought my copy today. I also bought Bob Dylan’s latest release, Modern times, on heavy weight vinyl. Whoohoo!
One of my all time favorites!
Lemme know if the Dylan album is any good.
All of a sudden I feel like sitting on a park bench.
To eye little girls with bad intent?
With snot running down my nose.
And leg hurting bad as you start away uneasy. You poor old sod.
Watching as the frilly panties run!
Dee dee dee dee. De dee dee dee dee dee.
I had to go look up the entire song:
Sitting on a park bench –
eyeing ittle girls with bad intent.
Snot running down his nose –
greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes.
Drying in the cold sun –
Watching as the frilly panties run.
Feeling like a dead duck –
spitting out pieces of his broken luck.
Sun streaking cold –
an old man wandering lonely.
Taking time
the only way he knows.
Leg hurting bad,
as he bends to pick a dog-end –
he goes down to the bog
and warms his feet.
Feeling alone –
the army’s up the rode
salvation a la mode and
a cup of tea.
Aqualung my friend –
don’t start away uneasy
you poor old sod, you see, it’s only me.
Do you still remember
December’s foggy freeze –
when the ice that
clings on to your beard is
screaming agony.
And you snatch your rattling last breaths
with deep-sea-diver sounds,
and the flowers bloom like
madness in the spring.
I saw Jethro Tull in concert once. He was great.
Yeah. I say Mr. Tull as well in Philadelphia. I also saw Mr. Uriah Heep. He was great. Yes CD… I know you were being silly…
I saw Alice Cooper once. She put on a great show.
Saw Tull in Providence, but was actually more interested in trying to get into my date’s panties. Nonetheless, Tull was a good show.
Well… did you? We all want to know…
