California Firestorm
Southern California remains ablaze and at least 300,000 people have evacuated. Several have gone to QualComm Park to seek sanctuary from the firestorm. The Santa Ana winds are predicted to die down later in the week, but until then, it looks like armegeddon. The fire has destroyed at least 1500 structures and many more are in serious jeopardy.

Our old friend Dirk is fine. I wonder how Yarbz’ parents are doing.

You are in touch with Dirkbag?
Yarbz’ parents live on the coast in Huntington Beach; there is not any fire there. Yet. But I bet the air is tough to breathe.
Once again, I am glad we escaped California when we did.

Yes Dirkbag and I do talk occasionally. He’s a nice guy, but just chose the wrong political party. Opposites attract they say. Or is it attack?

All is well in Huntington Beach. A little smell, ashes on the patio, and smoky, but nothing at all compared to the folks who had property and life at risk in the fire area.
We turned on the air conditioner so that air inside the house was clean, without smell or other irritant.
