From my e-mail: Be Afraid, be very afraid
I am afraid.? I am very afraid. Read these quotes:
(1) “We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.”
(2) “It’s time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the few, by the few, and for the few…… And to replace it with shared responsibility for shared prosperity.”
(3) “(We) ….can’t just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people.”
(4) “We have to build a political consensus and that requires people to give up a little bit of their own turf in order to create this common ground.”
(5) “I certainly think the free-market has failed.”
(6) “I think it’s time to send a clear message to what has become the most profitable sector in (the) entire economy that they are being watched.”
Now you might think these were the famous words of the Father of communism, Karl Marx……..
….and you would be on the right track in thinking so…..but you would be wrong……These pearls of socialist/Marxist wisdom are from non other than our very own, home-grown Marxist………
?
?
Hillary Clinton!……..

Very scary, indeed, but only because these quotes are taken out of context.
Even George Bush said “There ought to be limits to freedom.” That quote is scarier than all of the above.
That said, I’m no Hillary fan. Ron Paul ‘08!
Sloel, There ARE limits to freedom and there ought to be. Just cause you want to, you can’t go blow up the Mosque in Boston. You can’t go molest kids in the name of Freedom. One shouldn’t be able to crash airliners into tall buildings for Allah or the Flying Pasta Monster or for shits and giggles. There are LOT’s of good, rational limitations to freedom. I oppose MOST of them, but some make good sense for society as a whole.
Marxism is NOT one of those. Advocating a “Robin Hood” Or Marxist approach to health care or current U.S. societal errs is, in a word, loopy. Mrs. Clinton wants to take things away from you and me for the good of society and redistribute our wealth to someone else. Someone, who, perhaps, hasn’t worked as hard, or invested as smartly or strived to get a better education. Someone who expects the government to help them even though they aren’t interested in helping themselves for any number of reasons. They are, currently, free to do so.
It’s no wonder the idiot bitch doesn’t think the free enterprise system works, it’s because she thinks like a communist, pure and simple. Of course free markets don’t work in a communist society; they go against the very grain of Marxist thought and theory. The Chinese are just now waking up to the benefits of capitalism and will soon teach the entire planet more about how to compete.
Also, I am not so sure about taking quotes out of context here. Those lines are scary in any context.
Ha! The Chinese are going to teach us how to compete? How, by exploiting child labor and selling dangerous products?
Regarding the “Robin Hood” approach to health care: George W. Bush is now saying he wants to make Universal Health Coverage a goal before leaving office. Or course, when the Right criticizes Hillary for wanting to do the exact same thing, they call it Socialized Medicine and brand her a Marxist.
Again, I’m not a fan of Hillary Clinton. But if elected, I believe she couldn’t possible f*ck things up any worse than the toolshed who’s running things now.
I’ll take that bet. She and Billy had EIGHT YEARS to do something about healthcare in this country and what did they accomplish? Not a thing.
Using child labor and exporting dangerous products is EXACTLY how the Chinese are going to dominate the world soon. They are like the Borg on Star Trek TNG: resistance is futile.
With that said, I do not endorse child labor nor the painting of toys with lead paint. I just point out the obvious (like Hillary is a stupid power hungry politico bitch who should not be allowed back in the hite House). “w” intentionally left out as she and the Cinton crew removed all of them from hite House keyboards, along with other property of the people.
Personally, I thought the removal of the “W”’s from the hite house keyboards was kind of funny.
And it was no big deal in the end, they just bought some new keyboards through the Pentagon at $150,000 each.
I thought it was funny too, and your line about $150 W’s from the Pentagon was too.
FB - who are you leaning towards in 2008? I take it you fancy yourself a bit of a conservative, is there any candidate that piques your interest?
I fancy myself as a pragmatist. I sort of like B. Obama and actually voted for him, but I am not sure he is ready to leave the senate and lead the country. I am trying to keep an open mind. Mitt Romney is intriguing, but in a Hugh Hefner sort of way. I don’t think it is a secret that I like Fred Thompson and while he may have hurt himself by entering the race late, he may be the best man for the job. Rudy G. does almost nothing for me and I think his personal life will destroy any chance he may have at the White House.
It is almost easier to state who I don’t think should be president and here is my list: Hilleroid Clinton, John “Fancy Pants” Edwards, John “Mr. Heinz” Kerry. Teddy “Bear” Kennedy. The dems don’t have much in the way of quality candidate in my opinion.
I noticed Ron Paul is not on your list,
There is hope!!!!
BTW - ever see this article about Romney’s dog?

I understand his mother’s maiden name was Grizwold.
