Good for you how long did you smoke for? I quit 9/7/04 after 12 years… Cold turkey was the only way that worked for me.

  2. CinLin Says:

    Cold Turkey here too.
I’ll be 48 in a week, have smoked since I was 21 or so.

  3. Yarbz Says:

I wish you all the best in hanging in and kicking the habit!!! Excelllent!!

  4. Conspiracy Dude Says:

You quit the same day Alberto Gonzalez did.

    Good news all around.

  5. Feste Says:

As the official Jugg Surgeon, I have mixed feelings, in that, yes it is best for you, but if everyone quit, I would be much less busy doing operations for kidney failure, cancer, etc. Please keep the 55 and older crowd smoking in order to keep me busy until my early retirement.

  6. goober Says:

Congrats CinLin!!! I quit cold turkey 2/7/05. It’s the only way to quit. But it doesn’t mean I still don’t want one!! ;-)

I barely missed your 55 and older crowd Feste (LOL) - however, I don’t think you’d be doing surgery on me in the big KY anyway!! : ) I don’t know tho - if I can’t get things straightened out - I just might have to come see you. ;-)

  7. Feste Says:

Careful….. in my business, “KY” is a jelly used to lubricate the glove finger for orefice insertion.

  8. ZappaCrappa Says:

LOL….Feste just sent a chill up my spine thinking about my last complete exam…brrrrrrrrr.

  9. goober Says:

So Jugg Surgeon I went back to the cardio today - it was a lovely visit - can I come see you now?? LOL Maybe if you take the complete heart out I’d feel a lot better. Ohhhhhhh yea - I don’t have a heart - I’m the tinwoman. ;-) What was I thinking?

  10. CinLin Says:

Amazing how my quitting smoking evolved into fingers up asses.

  11. FloridaBill Says:

    That happens around here sometimes.

I quit on my 40th birthday about five years ago and am now a very bad ex-smoker. I can hardly stand to be around them any more.

Congratulations Cin and best of luck. It gets easier, so hang tough and remember, you just don’t do that any more. It’s not that you can’t ever have another cigarette, you just can’t have that next one.
