This week was another short one for me workwise as we had company visiting and will have more soon. I took off Monday and Tuesday and will be off again tomorrow, so WIR is a tad early.
New Yorkers got a big hot steamy reminder of nine eleven yesterday when a steam pipe exploded. It was not related to terrorists, but a failure of the infrastructure.
At least 190 people died in a plane crash in Brazil that apparently could have been avoided with a longer runway. It appears that the pilot was attempting to abort a landing. It also appears he was successful.

Speaking of rough, this article is horrific, but the headline was kinda catchy. The subject (Harrel Franklin Braddy) is also our first Fucktard of the Week.Other Fucktards of the Week:
Michael Vick. Why? You are one big time fucktard. Anyone who enjoys watching animals kill each other for sport is a fucktard. Anyone who participates in such a debacle and kills 8 dogs himself is a real sick person. You are a very sick fucktard Mr. Vick and need to find some other way to entertain yourself.
This couple from Reno Nevada. How could you? They played video games while their children starved. Nice. You should be fed to Mr. Vick’s dogs.

I see we now have such a category. I would throw Chris Benoit in that category as well. 59 to 1 hormone ratio is just asking for misery.
A sad note to add for my week in review. Mike’s mother, Rosie, age 69, died July 19th. Her organs failed, but thanks to liquid morphine she did not suffer much. Funeral is Monday.
CJ, sorry t hear of your family tragedy. We seem to be having a bit of this. Our thoughts are with you and Mike.

Rose’s passing was not unexpected. Mike and and all his family have been by her side for seven days now, myself included. She had COPD no doubt caused by being a cigarette smoker - her entire remaing family smoke except for me and I don’t understand why tar and nicotene makes someone happy. In the end, Rosie’s kidneys shut down, just like my dad’s at his end stage..
I wish everyone would stop smoking cigarettes.. I just don’t understand the stinking habit.
